TYPES OF CLASSES OFFERED AT THIS SHOW
Breed (Arabian, Morgan, etc.) - Judged primarily on how well conformation of the model matches breed standards. Since there
are over 140 breeds of horses and ponies, it is common to have "type" classes such as "Draft" or "Pony". Rather than individual
classes for Percherons, Clydesdales, Belgians and Shires, any Draft breed horse would just be entered in the Draft class and each is
judged based on their individual breed standards.

Color / Workmanship - Color classes are judged on what the judge feels is the best example of palomino, bay, etc. color.
Workmanship classes are for CM, CMG or AR horses and are judged on the quality of the painting and customization work.

Make or Collectability - There are usually individual classes for various makes of models (Lakeshore Collection, Breyer, etc.) and
these might be even further broken down by run size (Lakeshore Runs of 25 or less vs. other Lakeshore Limited Editions, for
instance). These classes are judged primarily on rarity and age of the model. Condition may matter a bit less as a well-mended but
very rare piece may outplace a mint but more common one. The general appearance of a model is also considered.

AWARDS:
Custom cardstock flats for 1st thru 7th place - different colored flats for halter and workmanship, custom rosettes for
champs/reserves, custom awards for division grand champions.

GENERAL RULES & DEFINITIONS:
-No animals, smoking or alcohol in the show hall. Well behaved children are welcome, but please be considerate of your
fellow hobbyists and their belongings, and keep them near you and under control at all times. We understand children can be
exuberant, but no running or yelling will be tolerated, and parents will be held responsible for damage caused by their
children.
-Please listen carefully to all announcements and class calls.
We will have a dedicated announcer for this show. There will
be a 5 minute time limit between halter classes. We won’t be rushing things – but I do ask that you pay some attention when
classes are closing for your own benefit so you don’t miss them.
-Please refrain from talking to the judges while they are judging. All of the judges are very knowledgeable and friendly
people, and will be happy to explain their placings after the class if you ask nicely. All judges’ decisions are final. Never touch
or pick up a model without the owner's explicit permission.
-In addition, please be aware of your surroundings. Accidents do happen but be careful so you aren't the cause of them. If
you break an item on someone else’s table, be prepared to pay for it!
-Unsportsmanlike conduct, harassment of judges and/or show staff, or offensive behavior or language will not be tolerated.
Anyone exhibiting these behaviors will be ejected from the show hall without a refund.

If you are unsure where to place your horse, please ask a judge from that division for their recommendation.

CLASS LIMITS: Three (3) models per class for all halter classes, including collectability classes.
No limit on the number of models you wish to bring – just make sure you request a full table (8' x 30") or extra table when
entering if you plan on bringing the whole farm.  These are the regular tables you are used to having at live shows.

CLASS RULES: Please refer to the NAMHSA Judges Handbook for specific performance class requirements and breed
standards. No setups (doll handlers, felt squares, areas, etc.), will be allowed in halter classes due to space and time
limitations, except in the case of breakable or unsteady models. Towels, cloths, or felt squares may be used in these
instances. If a model must be laid on its side to show, please be immediately available during the class should the judge desire
to see the opposite side of the model. Halter horses may wear a breed-appropriate halter, but these will not be given
preference in judging. Be aware that ill or improper fitting halters may actually hurt placings. Classes may be split or
combined at the judges' discretion.

A judge may not judge any model that he/she has worked/collaborated on. A judge may not judge any model which he/she
owns or has owned within the last six months. A judge may not judge family members' models.
We will have another judge step in for classes where the artist ‘s work appears.  So please bring models finished by any artist
judging at this show – we have an alternate standing by to fill in.

OFP Collectability Class Suggestion:
A note card describing your entry is highly encouraged, as the judge may not be familiar with every SR or TEST model out
there.  You will not be marked down for not having one though.

IMPORTANT CHANGE REGARDING TAGS FOR THIS SHOW (AGAIN):
^ ^ ^ ^ ^ ^ ^ ^ ^ ^ ^ ^ ^ ^ ^ ^ ^ ^ ^ ^ ^ ^ ^ ^ ^ ^ ^ ^ ^ ^ ^ ^ ^ ^ ^ ^ ^
TAGS: We will resort back to using Horse Breed and Gender on one side and Horses Name and
Shower Initials or name on the reverse side - like at most shows who don't have a regional tag saver
program.  Tags should resemble this

SOME ADDITIONAL CLASSLIST INFO:
-You may not cross show entries. One breed/halter class per model - but you can show the same model in the
appropriate collectability class.

-Classes may be split at judges discretion.

FOR THIS SHOW - HALTER AND WORKMANSHIP WILL BE JUDGED CONCURRENTLY.
MEANING  - WHEN YOU PUT YOUR MODEL(S) ON THE TABLE - YOU WILL BE JUDGED ON HALTER AND
WORKMANSHIP AT THE SAME TIME, WITH 2 DIFFERENT JUDGES.  I AM HOPING THIS SAVES TIME FOR OUR
THOSE DIVISIONS.  ORIGINAL FINISH WILL NOT BE JUDGED THIS WAY AND WILL GO HALTER FIRST, THEN
WORKMANSHIP LIKE LAST YEAR.

DIVISION DEFINITIONS
An Original Finish (OF) model is a model manufactured by a factory that is in its original
state. Models may be repaired or restored to their original states, but keep in mind that a
judge may penalize any visible repairs at her discretion. Major alterations will disqualify it
from the Original Finish divisions. Such alterations include, but are not limited to: added
gloss on eyes, hooves, mane, tail or any other part of the model, added, "improved" or
altered markings; or any substance applied to change or enhance the original color or
texture of the model. Such alterations will disqualify a model from competition in the OF
division, and will require it to be shown in the Custom division. OF Plastic manufacturers include,
but are not limited to: Peter Stone, Breyer, Hartland, Blue Ribbon, Ertl, Best Talking, and Grand Champions.

OF Resin manufacturers include, but are not limited to: Breyer, Black Horse Ranch, North
Light, Border Fine Arts, Castana, and Creart.
– These show in OF CHINA classes if factory finished or in CUSTOMS classes  if cold painted.

Artist Resins are those produced by  Mountain View Studios, DaBar,  Resins by Randy, Rose Studios etc....or any other
commercial casting service, or hand-cast by an artist. Regardless of who painted the model, these must show in the Artist
Resin halter division.

Minis are of Breyer Stablemate size or Animal Artistry sized resins. AA show in CM/AR mini class. Pebbles or Little Bits may
show in this division or go in with the traditionals – shower’s discretion.

Custom Plastic are any models that still have an underlying plastic body with minor or extensive cm work done to them.
For the show – any custom, drastic or minor shows in the CM divisions.  This includes works from the likes of Sarah Mink,
Fraley, Gonzales and so on.

OF China/Resin/OS - These are Northlights, Breyer Porcelains, OF Pour Horses, Beswicks, Hagen Renakers, Border Fine
Arts, Black Horse Ranch Original Finish Resins, other chinas direct from the producer.

*If in doubt, please ask a judge who will be happy to direct you and your model to the proper division.

Some OF STONE Plastic Division Rules:

ANY models that are 31 or more can show in the regular halter division - regardless of customization or not.
The reasoning for this is because there are so many runs out there that the real rarities are under 30 or less.

In the test & limited division - you
must show any horse numbering 30 or less and that includes tests and one of a
kinds regardless of customization.

I can appreciate that this might not be optimal for everyone who shows Stones...but every show's classlist and
rules are so different..that there's no real parameters for these multitudes of runs of the models.  Plus, I wanted to
make sure we don't have a time issue again with an overabundance of classes.

BREYER DIVISION RULES:

As for Breyer
- ANY Breyer of ANY number run can show in the regular halter classes.

-A Breyerfest raffle horse or Breyerfest Live award model or judges model can show in the Test/OOAKS class since
they are pretty limited. I have updated that class to reflect this, making it a Test/OOAK/Limited Models class.
This is class B33.
